The Roberd's Dairy I gates were commissioned to be a historic marker for the former company and incorporated actual parts from the dairy itself, including: milk crates, valves, pipe, conveyor belts, and mercury thermostat switches in addition to steel tube and screen. The large gate ties two parts of the production facility together to create a barrier to the old bottling section of the company. The work and selected material stands as a historic relic of the family run business that thrived from 1920 to 1985.
The Roberd’s Dairy II gates are more simple and functional and serve to allow selected tenants and their guests to enter the back portion of the property. This gate has an automatic opener and solar lights incorporated into old parts from water rowing machines by Orange Theory Fitness.
